Sleeping Tears

Tears pass into a dream-
that I often want to dismiss
The power of loss
and all it omits
Taken away from a loved one
A change that says goodbye-
to that which I once knew
Every moment is a death to something new
Yet the loved ones along the way
The things we grow to love
Change-
in a moments existence

So as I read the works of something new
Enveloped in the story
and when it ends
the loss that fills my tears
In a depth of sleep
Only awake to write
Seeing the mourning of a new day
But to see the newness of that morning
I must observe first, the mourning.

Synopsis:
The simple endings to things we love, not only the grand of loss, brings a deep remembrance in me.  Somehow loss, mourning is something that hides beneath the shadows of the smallest things in my existence.  On this path of remembering, I bring the courage to face all that shows up, when I show up.  Writing is one way for me to open my eyes to see.  I truly feel to be free, we must face all that shows up, and leave the shadow and enter a new dawning.  Every moment this is possible...or so this is what I aspire to.
